Reed’s complete Foursomes double with extra-hole victory at Elmwood

Reed’s School won the U15 National Foursomes title after an extra-hole victory over Millfield School at Elmwood Golf Club on 24–25 June 2026, adding to the school’s U18 success earlier in the season.

Eight schools competed over two days, beginning with a Stableford seeding round before progressing into the Cup and Plate competitions.

Reed’s led the opening round with 68 points, followed by Millfield School on 66 and Wellington College on 64. Worksop College completed the leading four with 61.

A dramatic Cup final

Reed’s defeated Stowe School in the quarter-finals before overcoming Worksop College in the semi-finals.

Millfield progressed past Merchiston Castle School and then St Leonards to set up a final between the two leading schools from the seeding round.

The final finished level at 1–1, taking the contest into extra holes. Reed’s secured the deciding victory to become U15 National Foursomes champions and complete a national double following their U18 team’s win at Frilford Heath in April.

St Leonards secured third place by defeating Worksop College in the play-off.

Wellington win the Plate

Wellington College recovered from their Cup quarter-final defeat to win the Plate, overcoming Merchiston Castle School in the semi-finals and Culford School in the final.

Merchiston Castle finished seventh after beating Stowe School in the final placing match.

Congratulations to Reed’s School on their national title and to Wellington College on their Plate victory. Thank you to Elmwood Golf Club, and to the players and staff from all eight schools who took part.
