Our founder Rick Valentine has been at the forefront of school’s golf in the UK since 2003.
He developed the Loretto Golf Academy from 2003-2022
He has a unique expertise combining his knowledge in British Schools, the UK Education system and Schools Golf programs
He is currently involved in the development of schools tournaments and is setting up the Golf Academy at Edinburgh Academy.
He has a strong network of contacts and coaches around the UK to place players at all the leading schools

Rick has been a leader within schools golf for over 20 years.
Student Athlete COACHING SUPPORT
To assist players in their development during their time studying in the UK Rick offers annual coaching support packages. These packages offer players additional support to their school programs to include the following:
Online coaching
1:1 coaching
Goal setting
Stats analysis
Tournament planning
Strength & Conditioning
Sport Psychology & Wellness
Weekly zoom tutorials
We also support the pupils in their guardian requirements for education to include, travel organisation, holiday cover as well as attending parents meetings and general pastoral support.

Schools golf has been booming the last 10 years offering pupils the opportunity to develop their golf alongside a first-class education. Rick launched the first school based Golf Academy at Loretto and since then numerous schools have followed suit to develop their own programs.
The UK now boasts a large variety of schools offering different levels of golf programs to suit the needs of every golfer. These comprise of coaching, access to practice and course and tournament golf.
With Rick's unique understanding of the schools and their programs we are best placed to find the perfect school for you.
Schools compete in British tournaments to include the HMC British Foursomes and Stroke Play www.hmcfg.org and the Independent Schools Golf Association events ISGA offering players the opportunity to develop their tournament experience.

Phase 1 - Registration
During this period families will be required to complete the following process by the:
Complete online registration
Provide golf swing videos
Provide a recent school report
Meet one of the RV Golf & Education team for an online interview
Phase 2 - School Research and Proposals
Based on the pupils application and golf assessments RV Golf & Education will produce a shortlist of schools best suited to the pupil and family.
Phase 3 - School Selection
Parents to select preferred school/schools
RV Golf & Education will start communication with each school
RV Golf & Education will assist in the communication between the school and the family
Parents will have to pay school registration fee
Pupil will have to complete school specific entry tests and online interview
On completion of the entry tests schools will communicate with RV Golf & Education and parents as to whether a place will be offered.
Phase 4 - Final Placement
A member of the RV Golf & Education Team will discuss options with parents and a final decision will be made.
PLACEMENT PROCESS
The UK now boasts a large variety of schools offering different levels of golf programs to suit the needs of every golfer.
FURTHER INFORMATION
There are golf programs to support all levels of golfers whether they are looking to maximise their potential and play international golf or for those just looking to develop their game in a social setting. No matter the preference players should have the following minimum handicap:
12-13 years old - handicap 30 or better
14-15. years old - handicap 16 or better
16-17 years old - handicap 12 or better
Some schools also offer a limited number of golf scholarships which offer families a discount on their school fees. These scholarships are for elite players and are highly competitive. To be able to apply for a scholarship players will need the following handicaps:
12-13 years old - handicap 15 or better
14-15. years old - handicap 9 or better
16-17 years old - handicap 5 or better
Players applying for a scholarship will have to undertake golf assessments along with their academic assessments for the school.
